APLA AGM to be held 15 September 2018
APLA’s Annual General Meeting for members will be held on 15th September 2018 at Recreation Centre Leonora.
Attendees must advise their branch Secretary before 21st July if they wish to attend. So RSVP is mandatory.
This will ensure seating and catering arrangements will meet the
numbers. No RSVP means no seat, no BBQ in the evening. The BBQ will be held at Recreation Centre as well.
We must have the numbers early please.

Notices of Motion or Special Resolutions to be decided at Annual General Meeting
The APLA Constitution - in Part - at Section 16 relating to General Meetings states;
"(7) In the case of an annual general meeting, the order in which business is to be transacted is--
(a) firstly, the consideration of the accounts and reports of the Committee;
(b) secondly, the receipt of notification of branch delegates in accordance with rule 5 (5) to replace outgoing Committee members; and
(c) thirdly, any other business requiring consideration by the Association in a general meeting.
(8) The Secretary shall give to all members not less than 42 days’ notice of a general meeting at which a Special Resolution is to be proposed and of any other motions to be moved at that general meeting."
As such could you advise the Secretary of any Special Resolutions or Motions to be discussed as Business at the APLA Annual General meeting to be provided to Marise Palmer Secretary APLA State either direct to Marise at sec@apla.com.au [marisepalmer@hotmail.com]The motion must be accompanied by a proposer and seconder.
