Federal Liberal minister visit to Sandstone

Today the Federal Liberal minister for the Mid-west, Melissa Price, visited Sandstone and I had a great opportunity to speak with her regarding issues around native title and how the PBC’s are making it almost impossible to access ground without entering into some form of heritage access agreement. I showed her examples of the extortion being meted out on prospectors and how lawyers were dictating terms and conditions on behalf of TO’s and native title holders without their knowledge. She gave me the undertaking that she will raise our concerns within the Federal Liberal party when she returns to Canberra.
